R31 is honoured to announce that two of its films, The Fantasy Makers: Tolkien Lewis MacDonald and Suspended and the Art of Forgiveness, are each nominated for a Remi Award at the 52nd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Independent Film Festival. The prestigious, and very long running, independent film festival is being held on April 5-14, 2019. The Fantasy Makers has been given an even bigger honour as it will be screened on Sunday April 7th at the festival in downtown Houston.
The Fantasy Makers has screened at numerous festivals already and was nominated for Best Docu-Drama at the CEVMA Film Awards (Europe) and won an Award of Excellence at the Accolade Global Awards. Suspended recently won a Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival, Best Documentary Feature at the Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival, Best Documentary Feature (Jury Select) at the Eau Claire World Film Festival and Best Foreign Documentary at the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival.
It’s been a busy time for both of the films!
The two Remi Awards will be announced at the Remi Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday, April 13th in Houston. Thanks to all of the wonderful people who were part of making these documentaries. Stay tuned…
