R31 is excited to announce that part two of its Faith In Imagination series, The Science Fiction Makers, is now available for viewing on Superchannel/Fuse in Canada. The film, which examines the origins of the Christian Science-Fiction genre, began filming in March of 2020 and continued production through Covid-19 using a variety of crews across England and North America. Special thanks to them all for making it a safe and successful production.

The doc blend dramatizations of events with a who’s who of Winnipeg actors, such as Jon Ted Wynne as Lewis, Brian Richardson as Tolkien and Stephen Eric McIntyre as MacDonald. It makes for an enjoyable 90 minutes… the doc impresses as a tribute to the inclusiveness of the science-fiction genre, a “sandbox of the imagination” where anyone can play. – Randall King, Winnipeg Free Press
