This documentary series combines archival materials and dramatic recreations to explore the complex motivations and actions of those who played pivotal roles in one of history’s darkest chapters. Delve into the twisted paths of politicians, senior officers, henchmen, and even the wives of the Nazis—an egotistical, grandiose, and often delusional group that powered Hitler’s destructive machine. Their stories culminate in betrayal, war violence, suicide, or ultimate justice at the hands of the Allies.

- Dr. Thomas Weber – German-born historian, author, and professor specializing in modern German history.
- Dr. Eric Kurlander – Historian of modern German, European, and world history.
- Dr. Fathali Moghaddam – Iranian-born psychologist, author, and professor at Georgetown University, specializing in political plasticity and the future of democracy and dictatorship.
- James Wyllie – Author, award-winning screenwriter and broadcaster. He is the author of ‘Goering and Goering’ and ‘Nazi Wives’ He has worked on numerous films for the BBC and Film4 and has written for a number of TV drama series.
